About Me:

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a career that has shaped the person I am today. Since 2009, I have been working as a visual journalist starting my career at The Daily Iowan.  At the DI I worked on daily assignments as well as long-term projects. I later became photo editor at the paper working with a staff of 12 to produce quality images, slideshows, and videos for our viewers.

In 2011, I accepted a photojournalist position at The Hawk Eye in Burlington, Iowa. Every day, I work on deadline to create engaging photos and slideshows for The Hawk Eye. I collaborate with reporters and editors to create quality and newsworthy content for our viewers. Breaking news, sports, business profiles, lifestyles features are all in a day's work for me.  I use Photoshop, NewsEdit, Photo Mechanic, and other editing software to enhance our audience's experience. I am a curious and creative photographer who is constantly seeking out new experiences and skills to be a more modern photojournalist. I'm a dedicated worker who loves to learn and can easily adapt to new situations and assignments.
